Master’s in Geology, Earth Science, Applied Geology, Geo-Exploration, Mineral Exploration, Engineering Geology, Marine Geology, Petroleum Geosciences, Geochemistry, or related fields - Geophysicist Group A (Category I):
M.Sc. in Physics, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Marine Geophysics, Applied Geophysics, Exploration Geophysics, or equivalent - Chemist Group A (Category I):
M.Sc. in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry - Scientist B (Hydrogeology) Group A (Category II):

Stage I – Preliminary Examination (Objective Type):
- Paper I: General Studies – 100 Marks – 2 Hours (Common for all)
- Paper II: Subject Specific – 300 Marks – 2 Hours

Stage II – Main Examination (Descriptive Type):
- Three Papers (Stream-Specific):
- Each Paper – 3 Hours Duration
- Geology: Paper I, II, III
- Geophysics: Paper I, II, III

- Hydrogeology: One Paper
Stage III – Personality Test / Interview:
