Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:
Indian citizen, or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or Tibetan refugee (before 1962), or person of Indian origin from select countries intending permanent settlement in India.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025):
Minimum: 21 Years
Maximum: 30 Years
Relaxation available for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen and departmental candidates.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech.) in relevant disciplines.
For some roles, M.Sc. degree in applicable subjects is also acceptable.
Exam Pattern
Stage I – Preliminary Exam (Objective Type)
Total Marks: 500
Paper I: General Studies & Engineering Aptitude – 200 Marks (2 Hours)
Paper II: Engineering Discipline Specific – 300 Marks (3 Hours)
Negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer.
Stage II – Mains Exam (Conventional / Descriptive Type)
Total Marks: 600
Paper I & II: Discipline-specific – 300 Marks Each (3 Hours Each)
Stage III – Personality Test / Interview
Total Marks: 200
Focuses on leadership, personality, communication, and service suitability.
