The SSC JHT, JT, JTO, and SHT Recruitment 2025 is conducted to fill Group B Non-Gazetted Translator posts in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India, including the Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS), Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ), and other government offices.
This examination aims to recruit qualified candidates with strong Hindi and English translation skills for official language translation and implementation of Hindi in central government offices.

A. Junior Translation Officer (JTO) – Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS)
- Master’s degree in Hindi or English with the other as a compulsory subject OR
- Master’s in any subject with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory subject at degree level
- Diploma/Certificate in Translation OR 2 years of translation experience
B. Junior Translation Officer (JTO) – Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ)
- Same eligibility as Post A
C. Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) / Junior Translator (JT) / JTO – Various Ministries / Departments / Organizations
- Same eligibility as Post A
D. Senior Hindi Translator (SHT) / Senior Translator (ST) – Various Ministries / Departments / Organizations
- Master’s degree in Hindi or English with the other as a compulsory subject OR
- Master’s in any subject with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory subject at degree level
- Diploma/Certificate in Translation OR 3 years of translation experience
E. Sub Inspector (Hindi Translator) – Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
- Same academic qualifications as Post D
- Physical Standards:
- Height: 165 cm (Male), 155 cm (Female)
- Chest: 77–82 cm (Male only)
Selection Process:
- Paper I (Computer-Based Test – Objective Type):
- General Hindi: 100 Questions, 100 Marks
- General English: 100 Questions, 100 Marks
- Duration: 2 Hours (0.25 Negative Marking per wrong answer)
- Paper II (Descriptive):
- Translation (Hindi ↔ English) & Essay Writing
- 200 Marks | 2 Hours Duration
- Final Stage: Document Verification and Medical Examination

- Log in using your Registration Number/User ID, Password/Date of Birth, and Captcha.
- Download and print your Exam City Slip for reference.
How to Fill SSC Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) Online Form 2025:
- Register on ssc.gov.in using One-Time Registration (OTR).
- Apply online between 5 June to 26 June 2025.
- Upload a live photo using a webcam or MySSC App with a plain/light background.
- Read the complete notification before applying.
- Keep all required documents ready: eligibility proof, ID, address, and photos.
- Verify and preview the form before submission.
- Submit and take a printout of the final form.
Pay Scale:
- Pay Level 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
- Gross Salary with Allowances: Up to approx. ₹1.4 Lakh/month (depends on posting location)
