About Exam:
The Indian Navy has invited online applications for the Short Service Commission (SSC) Executive (Information Technology) entry for the January 2026 course. Unmarried male and female candidates with degrees in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, AI, Data Analytics, Networking, or related fields can apply. Selection is through shortlisting based on academic performance, followed by SSB interview and medical examination. Selected candidates will undergo training at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala, and will join as Sub-Lieutenants with Pay Level 10.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be born between 02 January 2001 and 01 July 2006 (inclusive of both dates).
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum 60% marks in English in Class 10 or 12.
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks in any one of the following degrees:
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Systems, Cyber Security, System Administration & Networking, Computer Systems & Networking, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence.
- MCA with BCA/B.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Final year/appearing candidates (up to 5th semester for B.E./B.Tech) are eligible to apply.
Gender & Marital Status:
- Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.
Selection Process:
- Shortlisting of Applications
- Based on normalized academic marks in the qualifying degree.
- B.E./B.Tech: Marks up to the 5th semester considered.
- M.Sc./MCA/M.Tech: Marks from all semesters or pre-final year considered.
- NCC ‘C’ certificate holders with minimum ‘B’ grade receive 5% relaxation in cutoff marks.
- SSB Interview
- Shortlisted candidates notified via email/SMS.
- Includes psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interview at Indian Navy SSB centers.
- Medical Examination
- Conducted at designated military hospitals for shortlisted candidates.
- Final Merit List
- Prepared based on SSB performance and medical fitness.
