About CPCB:
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is a statutory organization under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India. It was established under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and also operates under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. CPCB’s primary responsibility is the prevention, control, and abatement of air and water pollution across India.
